    Area Sales Manager – ManagerLocation: Agra, Uttar Pradesh

    Department: Sales Offline Merchants – QR

Additionally, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. The company also offers credit services, including merchant loans, personal loans, and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

  • About the Team:
    The QR/Soundbox team is a significant business and payments vertical in the organization, focused on merchant acquisition, retention, and growth in India.
  • Expectations/ Requirements:
    1. Grow distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations.
    2. Ensure visibility and accountability through extensive QR & Soundbox deployment and product sales.
    3. Identify and recruit a sales team to align and drive business in the market.
    4. Develop market size, span, and geographies for ASMs.
    5. Devise effective communication methods to minimize expectations vs. delivery gap.
    6. Monitor quality parameters as per management suggestions.
    7. Validate and conduct audits on acquisitions and sales made by the team.
    8. Manage a large team of 5-10 ASMs and over 200 indirect employees.
    9. Must Have:
      • Good networking capabilities and willingness to travel extensively.
      • Coaching and mentoring skills, ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts.
      • Superpowers/ Skills:
        1. Self-starters comfortable with ambiguity.
        2. 8-12 years of experience in sales, business development, B2C markets.
        3. Passion for working in fast-growing firms and managing large teams.
        4. Strong sales and negotiation skills, experience in quota-driven sales.
        5. Experience in payments and finance is a plus.
        6. Education: MBA (Marketing)
