We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager – Wealth and Private Banking Finance, Executive Decision Support

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible for MI reporting and analytics for HSBC Australia, proactively seeking and shaping value-generating opportunities and driving initiatives to completion.
  • Support the Head of Finance to deliver the end to–end deliverables along with Forecasting and Stress Testing processes for Australia region
  • Monthly reporting at business/ product/segment level, overall performance packs, analytical review packs, Actuals vs. Forecast analysis and data management – end to end ownership of Data, reporting and analysis.
  • Data Integration and Reconciliation between the systems.
  • Ensure the data integrity in Actuals via establishment of effective control procedure.
  • Coordination, review, and provide the inputs for forecasting and all stress testing activities.
  • Regular interactions with the Country / Region / Financial Planning & Analysis teams on cost drivers and analysis.
  • Ability to plan and implement change to Business Frameworks, reporting hierarchies, allocation rules and mappings.
  • Proactively identifying value opportunities through insight into business, products, markets, innovation, and data
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree subject, e.g., mathematics/ statistics/ economics/ commerce Qualified Accountant, CFA, Master’s degree
  • Finance Knowledge – Product and Market Knowledge, Ability to analyze, challenge and interpret financial data – actual/forecast/stress.
  • Risk Management and Control Mindset – ability to assess, identify and mitigate risks within the process ensuring compliance with Group and Model Risk requirements
  • Prior relevant experience in fields like Budgeting, Cost, Stress testing, Forecasting processes, Financial and Management Reporting.
  • Good conceptual understanding of Wholesale Credit Risk, Basel and IFRS9 regulatory policies & principles is a plus
  • Technical skills of SAS, VBA, SQL, Python, Xceptor, QlikSense will be added advantage
